I began making artisan Teddy Bears as a full time occupation in early 1993. I traveled worldwide with the bears attending specialist shows, and store events.

I was lucky that my career spanned some of the best years of the bear collecting phenomenon and fortunate to develop a following of very kind and enthusiastic collectors.

In recent years I began to find that age was not being kind to my hands and the various processes involved in making bears became increasingly uncomfortable.

However, as I began to think about retirement, quite by chance I revived my interest in painting. It began as an idea to make a new swing tag for my bears, a small watercolour of a bear led from one thing to an other and now I have been painting for almost two years.

I doubt if I will make any more bears but I am enjoying my new artistic pursuit on a relaxed basis and my new website will in due course reflect this.
