I make approximately 90 bears each year and about half of these are sold through stores, the main ones I like to deal with are on the links page but I do occasionally supply bears to others for special events.    I make one-of-a-kind bears and small editions, normally the editions are for stores who like to advertise or catalogue.

 

I also have a small number of bears made specially for the shows I attend, these are usually one-of-a-kind and I normally have a preview of some of the bears on this site just before the show.

 

I am happy to accept personal orders.  The galleries on this web site show examples of previous work form the basis for designing the customer’s own bear.  I prefer not to make exact re-runs of the bears in the galleries, I cannot keep endless stock of mohairs and it is often not possible to obtain the same mohairs.  Many customers simply trust me to make a bear for them based on their preferences, this allows me the flexibility to enjoy each bear and modify the designs as I feel appropriate.

 

I have quite a large order book and so there are only few bears which are not prior orders or stock for shows available, if there are any free to post as for sale on this site I have a mailing list of customers who wish to be notified and you can be added to that list if you email gregory@hugoshouse.com with your details.

 

 

Payment and prices

 

The price will be agreed at the time you place your order. Postage is added at cost. I do not ask for a deposit but I normally request full payment when I am about to begin making the individual bear.  I will normally price and expect payment in UK pounds.  I accept personal or bankers’ cheques (or cash of course) I am happy to invoice through paypal as I cannot accept direct payment by credit card.  Paypal is very convenient so at present I do not make any extra charge to cover paypal fees.
