Availability

I work alone and I am rather slow so in a year I only expect to make around 100 bears.   I attend a number of bear shows and events at which I will always have some bears available for purchase on the day.  In addition I will have some for sale directly from my website on an occasional basis and if you are on my e.mailing list you will be notified when they are posted on the website.

A small number of carefully chosen stores also sometimes have bears available

Ordering a Bear

I am happy to take personal orders for bears based on current designs.

The waiting time for new orders depends on availability of fabrics and my existing schedule including commitments to shows and stores.    I am one man operation so other factors can disrupt bear production and I have no method of catching up.

I am also happy to discuss orders for Stores subject to the understanding that I will not make editions of more than 2 or 3 bears.

I will accept orders based on e.mail contact but I always ask that you also provide your actual address and a telephone number so I can be certain of making contact when the delivery is due.

Shipping

The bears are quite large and can be quite costly to ship overseas - I make every effort to make a fair estimate of the postal cost , some services make a volumetric charge so I try to use the smallest box possible.

The bears will be well packed for their journeys - I prefer to use an insured and signed-for delivery service.    In UK and Europe I normally use Royal Mail or Parcelforce.

When bears are shipped outside the EU please remember that they may be subject to customs inspection and charges in the destination country, any such charges are the buyers responsibility.  For security it is preferable for the bears to be correctly insured and I will not under-value them in order to reduce any possible customs charge on arrival.

Payment

I ask for payment in full including post and packing in advance of shipment.   If you have made a personal order I do not ask for a deposit but I will contact you when I am about to make your bear and request full payment  to coincide with making the bear.

UK customers can use Internet Banking and I will provide my account details to new customers on their first purchase.

I do not have facility to accept credit or debit cards but I am happy to use paypal - it doesn’t matter if you do not have paypal account yourself I only need your e.mail address to issue an invoice.   Paypal charge me a fee to receive your payment and to date I have absorbed this cost,  I will be reviewing my policy on this matter in 2011.   I normally draw down paypal receipts to my normal Bank account which can take up to 4 days,  I wait until then to actually mail bears.

Payment can also be made by personal cheque or direct Bank transfer
